Africans like their Guinness full bodied and from a bottle. As an Irish man that concept is slightly bizarre but entirely in keeping with this off-the-wall script from AMV BBDO.
The brief was to get the attention of African football fans at the start of the English premier league season and engage them in a campaign over nine months. So we threw in everything including a sumo wrestler - which isn’t the easiest bit of casting when you’re in South Africa.
